"I could never let you go, my darling cold and blue. I wonder, are you dreaming still spread eagle, blood removed?" - TBDM.

I think this is my favourite pic I've taken/edited, since now. It's my personal tribute to one of the band I'm listening wildly since a few years: The Black Dahlia Murder. Lately, it happened more than once that I've been inspired to take photos by a song...and the song in question is freakin' awesome. I'm not going to talk about the god-like drumming in it and how I could come only listening to the bass drum. Shannon Lucas is unhuman, that's all. Ok ok, I'm missing myself already. I don't usually read the lyrics of what I listen to and I know it's quite uncommon since tons of people think that lyrics are at least 50% of the song. Well, you should read a grindcore/deathcore-band lyrics sometimes. They are kinda pointless even if pretty brutal and cool, but still, pointless. Nonetheless, these ones kinda blew my mind. I don't know if it's true but it seems that Trevor (the singer), is referring to one the most macabre real-stories I've ever read about. I don't know if you are interested in these kind of details, but you can google "Carl Tanzler" and read about him on Wikipedia.

I think that the wood in this pic looks fucking incredible, especially because it's not a wood. It's just a "simple" mansion garden where I have to bring the mail. And yes, I've felt a total idiot while posing like that. I've been lucky enough to build a quick "shelf" with a package to put my phone on, and it took just 3 or 4 shots to have a decent one before disappearing from there. Then once at home, I asked my sister to pose for the second part  of this work. Actually, the whole pic instead of her is in HDR. I needed her to be more clear and sharp. I'm posting a non-filter version here because I've found that even if colors are better in the Instagram one, the overall quality it's a bit ruined. Nevermind.

Stargaterade

Points of view are quite funny and I've discovered this thing during a lunch break at work. This last August was sick and I had to drink like 2 bottles of Powerade every-fucking-day. Not that I'm a Powerade fanboy, it's just because it was the only ice-cold drink that I've could buy at the supermarket. The blue one still tastes pretty good to me. And ofc, I LOVE blue. That day I was seated and enjoying my sandwiches when suddenly I looked down at the almost empty bottle. I can't explain accurately my thoughts but I think that the shots could do it. This is what I saw. At a certain angle that bottle looked everything but a bottle. It was like a Stargate or similar, like I could jump inside of it and discover a new dimension (maybe a better one?) The magical blue liquid did a big part of the job. I love how it reflects on the inside and neck...and since I love to merge words to create stupid things, here is the title. Powerade + Stargate = Stargaterade.

"Sit and stay awhile, talk to me about that things that make you real."

This incredible, sweet creature is from a litter of kittens born a few months ago. A client of mine own and lovely take care of 'em, and when I have some minutes to spend, even if I'm at work, I go find them and have my cuddles time :3 This was during a fucking hot day, weather was sick and I think that this baby's look speaks itself enough. After some minutes of cuteness I took my phone to start taking some pics. During that time he didn't care that much of me and had a short cat-tongue bath eheh. But then, suddenly, he looked at me with those eyes...I'm still glad I've pushed the button with perfect timing. When I had to choose a title I wasn't in my best mood (and quite without ideas, indeed) and I remembered of a fucking sick song that I used to listen all the time, in my school period: Velvet Alley, by Strung Out. That shiny red thing under him is a plastic chair, so I think that the final part of the lyrics fits perfectly for this picture. This is one of my best HDRs so far. I love how the pelt looks like mithril/silver and the overall result, bust most of all, the eyes. I really hope to make something this good again, in the future.

Ra-ven-sburger!

Ok, now imagine yourself at a Gas Station, early in the morning, like 7:04 am (I wake up at 6:18) and while your car is having the most expensive fucking breakfast of planet, you turn back and see a sky like this. Luckily I wasn't holding the pistol in my hand or I would sprayed at least 15€ of gasoline on the ground to reach my cellphone as fast as possible. Just the time to set my wide-angle and this lovely dawn was already "mine". Most of the mornings my mood is horrible and I know, I'm living terribly wrong. But still, a sky like this can make me smile and forget all my wrong thoughts for some minutes. And oh, what the fuck. Every time I look at clouds in this pic I can't help but think at the old Puzzles Commercials on TV, when I was a child. They ended ALL the times with a singed spelling of the European market leader Ravensburger.

Broken Idea

Let's talk about randomness. Uhmm I took this one the day I was back from my summer holidays I think, or something like that. Well, it's not very important to be honest. I wasn't posting pictures since 2 weeks or so and I was running out of ideas a bit. Then I saw THIS. A garden lamp. A fucking garden lamp you know, one of the most stupid subjects I could choose to take a photo, and of course, I did. I was pretty sure that the result would been horrible, the pic was kinda mediocre and not at the best quality, but when I started to edit, I admit I was a little impressed. Nothing special heh, but I loved how this average thing has assumed an own personality. I've looked a lot at the spiral inside, hoping it would suddenly turn on and shine in a cold blue-silver light. Since the lamp is a representation of the "Idea" I still would like to have a switch on my cellphone (or somewhere else) to turn it on and off when I'm bored, but this is life: some days you have plenty of Ideas/thoughts and you can make 'em shine for you and everyone is watching in your direction. On the contrary, some days you have to accept that even an Idea could be broken and wait silently in the shadow, like this one.

FIRST RANDOM POST BADUMBADUMFRRFRRSBRAMTARATTAH!

Seriously?

Yeah. Sure. Love this game with my whole heart. Now, Mr.AngryBirdsDeveloperOfMyAss, screw you.
Fable III

Here it is one of my favourites. When I took this I was on "my" scooter, about to start the daily-journey (I'm a fucking mailman heh) and since I have about 7km to run before reach my destination, there's a bit of time for random thoughts and nature observation. The sky was absolutely sick that day and I was just waiting for the right spot to take a picture with my wide-angle. I think I've chosen a pretty good one as I love how the pylon on the left and the manhole on the right are "framing" the pic. For your knowledge, guys, Fable is one of the most epic games I've ever played, now it's kinda old but still awesome. Landscape reminds me of it and this was the third of a serie, but the only one I made on HDR. Grass looks so soft and dreamy. Right now I'd just like to put myself in there and have a long, fresh sleep. And a sudden death by millions of insects.

I Hate This Place

That's right. This is the view when I raise my head after parking my car. Ok, it's not like this every day, unfortunately. Place is a random parking just out of Cittadella's fence wall. 30km from where I live, what-the-fuck. At least this was a lovely morning with orgasmic-soft clouds and a dark omen at the horizon, sun was just rising behind the trees and I couldn't resist but take a shoot of that. Then I remembered I was just wasting my last minutes to get at the office without being late. Story of my life. With that thought I just realized how this fucking parking is just meant to run at work and escape from it. Run, run, run, just run Forrest, run. I'm sick of it, so yeah, I hate this place.

Still in love with that sky color. Hope to see it again very soon. Light-blue is my favourite since I was a lil child :3

Zomg Factor

And here it comes the second one. Had to cut off that awesome scythe-shaped cloud on the right to keep some fucking symmetry. The curvature is due to my new camera lens. This is a wide-angle, you can buy it (and fisheye too) from ebay or somewhere else around the net. Pretty cheap and not nearly similar to real lens of course, but hey, I think they are kinda stylish. I've discovered I'm in love with clouds much more than I expected. Aww. Well, that was kinda pretty huge and looked muuuch more badass in real life. When I turned my head on the right and saw it, my expression turned into a Zomg. I've bet it was going to rain in a few time but I was OBVIOUSLY wrong and weather stayed around 37°c with 3829748237492375435% of moistness. Had to wear helmet for more than 3 hours and worked without having a drink. Bear Grylls u are so rookie.

No, no. I'm doing fucking good.

First picture, yay. Well, here I am at 90%, obviously not going to ruin your night dreams with my face looking at you. It's kinda sad for myself to look at me and see this. I usually sleep around 5 hours of less per night and I'm doing this since 2006, so I'm kinda fucked up all days/all day long (that's the title explanation). I'm not going to explain/talk about my lifestyle and why I'm sleeping so bad, for now.

I was pretty happy with the result in this one, it looks kinda soft with nice shiny lights especially on the left-subject hand. Here I was just having my coffee during a little break at work. A must for me. Took this putting the phone on a crate in front of me and setting timer to 10 seconds. The pose was quite easy, indeed. Coffee vapor is obviously a fake, I've just used a photoshop brush and edited a bit. And NO. It's not coming out of my ass. It's funny no moar.

lol at shirt. Fucking love it tho.

Boredom is Everywhere

Yeah, alright. Starting a new project without a fucking idea...nice job I would say. Pretty sure I'm supposed to say something about me: where I live, what I do, what I like...stuff like that. Not going to happen folks, at least, not now. I'm going to develop that part if I'm going into this "blog" thing deeper than I'm expecting now. Before I start to post images you should know I'm not a photographer and even not interested in general photography. As I said in the title, boredom is everywhere and I'm just adapting myself to the situation. Since I've discovered Instagram (lol, dafuq) I've noticed that I enjoy the feeling of taking, editing, and posting pictures, so here I am, trying my best to build something hopefully acceptable. *Almost 8 lines OMG* Hanging around this new Instaworld made me fall in love with HDR photography and since that moment I'm putting a lot of effort to improve my technique and build my own style. Now the part where I justify myself in case you are going to dislike my "works" lololol: ALL pics are taken with a Samsung Galaxy S2 and all my HDRs are from a single shot, so the overall quality is not even near to premium stuff and blablah.

Every time I will post a pic I'm going to put the title I've chosen for Instagram gallery and unlike there, I'll try to explain it.

Nuff said for now, hope you'll enjoy your visit.
cya soon bitches
xoxo, sphynx.
